Welcome to Alternative Fuel Sciences (AFS) ZeroFuel web site. The team at AFS is very excited about the prospects and opportunities that ZeroFuel can offer the energy and transportation industries. We at AFS feel that ZeroFuel is on the forefront of alternative energy which can take the first real step towards relieving the USA from it's fossil and foreign oil dependence while helping to stop sending US dollars overseas. ZeroFuel also has attributes that make it very unique when compared to other fuels with safety and zero emissions just a few of the key features. ZeroFuel is a safe carrier of ammonia and or hydrogen, there by creating new opportunities for the transportation industry. The AFS team consist of experts in chemical engineering, energy technology development, automotive technology, racing and marketing. AFS is also entered into the Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize competition that starts from NYC in the fall of 2009 for vehicles trying to achieve 100mpg with low emissions. On March 20th at the New York International Auto Show, the X PRIZE Foundation and Progressive Insurance jointly announced the $10 million dollar Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE. "Let the race begin!" said X PRIZE Chairman and CEO Dr. Peter Diamandis.
